Accenture Completes Acquisition of Digital Agency Meredith Xcelerated Marketing

Accenture (ACN) completed the acquisition of New York-based digital agency, Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, a content-focused integrated marketing company which it expects to add data and analytics skills, strong content creation and customer engagement capabilities to its offerings, particularly in the automotive, consumer brands and financial services industries.

Formerly owned by Meredith Corporation (MDP), MXM employs more than 450 people across the U.S. and Canada, the company said.

“The award-winning digital marketing agency will bring together a strong combination of data-led strategy, creative and technology expertise to bolster Accenture Interactive’s existing capabilities,” Jeannine Falcone, marketing offering lead for North America, said.

The shares were marginally lower Monday morning.
